Below is a rough sequence of steps I take to care of your website needs:

  • Understanding your needs
  • Before I begin anything, I need to understand what you are looking for in a website. If you're a business, I want to know more about your business. This will help me give you a quote and, more importantly, design a custom website that fits your needs.

Your needs can include features you would like to see on your website, like a form that visitors can submit or a photo album. We can discuss these possibilities.

  • Domain Name & Webhosting
  • This is the time we pick http://www.YourBusiness.com. After picking it, I will register the domain name and web host. Together, these are the only two things you need to keep your website on the world wide web.

  • Preliminary Sketch
  • Before I actually develop the website, I like to make a 'rough draft' of the website using imaging software. The rough draft includes layout, navigation scheme, style, etc. This way we can easily make changes till we find something you like. Last thing I want to do is leave you stuck with a website you don't like!

  • Development
  • Using the preliminary sketch, I will develop the website, and get it up and running. Design, code, images, the works!

  • Email Set Up
  • You can receive emails from YourChoice@YourBusiness.Com. I will set this up for you.

  • Maintenance (optional)
  • One of my goals is to design the website in such a way that you can update it yourself. This way, you don't have to pay me for changes to your website that you can easily make yourself! This is one way I differ from other web designers who get more money from you by designing a site you can't update yourself.

However, if it comes down to it, I do offer maintenance services if you are unable to make the changes yourself.
